Have you ever had the idea that maybe it would be a good thing to try to be a food vendor at a festival or event? It is hard to get started and the rules are all but overwhelming. The Ultimate Guide to Face Painting Fun: Unleash Your Inner Artist

One of my Face Painting boards Some of the best times I remember from being a commercial vendor for many years have been while face painting. Kids love face painters. Maybe it has to do with the face you are drawing and marking on them and at home that of course is forbidden. Most parents enjoy this also. In the past, I have face-painted bald men with beards, boyfriends, toes, and bellies. I remember distinctly on one occasion face painting a whole family - it was the seven-year-old's birthday and she wanted everyone to have a face paint. At the first event I remember doing there was another face painter. It was my first time and I was a little nervous. Things went fine until toward the end of the event when some of the parents came yelling at me. There was another face painter there who was using permanent magic markers. They were very upset that the drawings would not come off. Me? I was just using acrylic paint at that time. Unlock Your Inner Artist: Dive into the World of Face Painting! Now when I face paint I use FDA-approved face paint. You can buy this at Michael's or a Hobby Store and sometimes WalMart. It's nice stuff, like cosmetic makeup. The girls also like glitter on their face paintings. It also nice if someone had a camera to take a picture of the finished face painting Some of my favorite face paintings were Batman (if I had a dollar for every Batman I painted now - I would be rich), hearts with rainbows, unicorns, watermelon, Santa, Rudolph, pumpkins, spiders, snakes, Betty Boop, Sponge Bob, apples with a worm, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Ariel, and Scooby Doo. Remember you can paint other places than on the face, I have painted on legs, toes ankles, bellies, bald heads, fingers... shoulders - anywhere that is visible.
